Medicare Prescription Drug Program help available.

Important Medicare Enrollment Dates: Nov 15—Open Enrollment Begins Dec 31—Open Enrollment Ends Jan 1—Coverage Begins Enroll early to make sure you can get the prescriptions you need on January 1st.

Some questions to think about include: COST: Will your premium and costs change in 2008? COVERAGE: Do you need more coverage in 2008? Will the prescription drugs you take be covered by your plan in 2008? CUSTOMER SERVICE: Are you satisfied with your plan’s service?

If you are satisfied with your plan, you do not have to do anything to re-enroll. If you want to do comparisons using the Medicare Website, and would like some help in doing that, schedule an appointment by calling the UNL Extension Office in Dixon County 402-584-2234. Appointments are being set up on Mondays from November 19 and 26, December 3 and 10. Appointments will be made from 1:00 to 5:00 at the Haskell Ag Lab near Concord. Be sure to bring a list of medications (with exact dosage, etc.) along with your Medicare card for a personalized search and to do any enrollment changes.
